Yuki & George - August 10, 2014

With each wedding we do, we get the opportunity to meet amazing and unique couples and Yuki and George were no exception.  From the moment we met these two, George's charm and Yuki's beauty were breathtaking.  Not only was photographing their day an extreme pleasure, but just getting to know these two was something special.  The chemistry, love, adventure, and honor between them just resonated throughout their entire wedding day.  I cannot say enough about what a special couple they are.

The wedding itself was filled with personal details that set the stage for such a special event, from Japanese and English programs, to specialty sushi served at cocktail hour (the bride's New Mexican inspired recipe). Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm set a stunning backdrop to the day, and was a photographer's dream come true!

(This blog is presented in two parts, the first being the wedding day, the second is from the day after portraits with the bride & her groom, so keep scrolling all the way for more goodness!)

Special thanks to everyone involved:

We were SO lucky to get to do more portraits with Yuki & George for a day after shoot.  Los Poblanos graciously allowed us to come back the next day to utilize the property for our shoot. The couple, the location, all of it was the recipe for an incredibly gorgeous shoot!!

The Scifres Family - July 2014

So many people are nervous to be in front of the camera and dread the idea of sitting for 'formal photos', especially families of 6! Moms are stressed, kids are restless, and the whole experience can be a nightmare. That's why one of my favorite comments (and greatest compliments) from my clients is how much fun they've had. This was one such family.

The Scifres were such a blast to work with! When they arrived on location for our shoot, I could not believe how cute they all were together and how much fun they were to photograph. I am so excited to share these images! The best part of the night though was after we'd wrapped, receiving a message that the kids actually thanked their momma for bringing them to the shoot!!  It was a definite success!
