Cyle & Alicia

Alicia and Cyle are getting married.. this weekend!!  Congratulations you two!  The day of their engagement session arrived and the clouds rolled in.  We really only had this one chance to do the shoot before their wedding, so we decided to go with it.  Seiji and I went out and found some umbrellas and started to plan to shoot in the rain.  Of course, we didn't end up needing them at all!  As we began our shoot, the sun emerged and we had beautiful light for the majority of our time!

My favorite part about capturing couples is watching the chemistry between them, and just letting it unfold in the shoot.  When you put two people who are completely in love together, the moments just start happening on their own.  The love between Cyle and Alicia was so fun to watch and capture.  Their story is so sweet, and we wish them all the best!

Fotsch Family - July 2014

In the middle of a crazy busy week with several shoots, tons of editing, and preparing for a weekend wedding, I just have to squeeze in this blog post!  This family lifestyle session came together so beautifully, I feel so lucky to have captured it.

We made one of our several a year trips up to Colorado a few weeks ago with a few shoots on the books, so of course we spend the first couple days scouting locations and looking for great spots to use.  Thankfully the Windsor/Ft. Collins areas are pure gorgeous pretty much everywhere you look, so finding locations is pretty easy.  Every time we are up that way there are several spots I drool over, but just can't use since they are private property.  One spot in particular lined with beautiful trees and full of luscious green fields always catches my eye.  To my absolute pleasure and surprise, this sweet family had already planned on using the very property I love, as they are friends of the owners! Of course, it was even better than I had originally imagined, with the river running right through the property, it was magical.

Using a more lifestyle approach, we spend the majority of the shoot letting the kids play, and watching life happen.  Adding in some family poses is always nice, but the moments are unforgettable.

Thank you Fotsch family for letting us capture you together.  It was such a fun day!
